Every thought you think is creating your future.
And not every thought you think is telling you the truth.
But you will always believe it, won’t you?
The reason is that it’s coming from your mind, from your head. Well, it must be the universal truth, right?
Because why would your mind give you just random ideas and thoughts?
As an official ambassador of the Stopping Myths Society, I must say:
Not every thought you think is true. But your own natural tendency will be to automatically attribute it with veracity.
And therefore, you will act accordingly. Meaning, your whole life will revolve around what this thought is saying about you and your world.
Let me tell you a little story.
I once met Thomas. He worked as an architect in a big firm in a foreign country.
Although this was a long-time dream of his, nowadays he couldn’t bear the stress of his job.
He even had negative physical reactions every Monday morning. Like all the magic and glory of getting too acquainted with the toilet.
When we talked more about the whole situation, we found that he kept working overtime, non-stop at his job. He even did other people’s tasks because, he said, it would get done sooner, faster, more efficiently. You name it.
Everybody loved him, no wonder.
But then, he kept on saying that he wasn’t good enough, he didn’t speak the language properly, he could have done this or that to improve this or that situation. The list is endless.
Funny, huh.
The mind, oh, the mind.
Today I’m talking about one of Louise Hay’s philosophy keynotes:
“Every thought you think is creating your future.”
And from that she elaborates: “Our subconscious mind accepts whatever we choose to believe. They both mean that what I believe about myself and about life becomes true for me. What you choose to think about yourself and about life becomes true for you. And we have unlimited choices about what we can think.”
Thomas thought he was lazy, unprepared, not educated enough, with fewer skills or less knowledge in comparison to his other peers.
Even though his superiors recently praised him for his amazing work.
Even though he excels at his tasks.
Even though…
Oh, the mind, you gotta love the tricks of the mind.
And, although this is a work in progress (meaning it is not an enlightenment in which from one moment to another he made a dramatic 360-degree shift in his life with incredible results), things are starting to change for him.
I taught him about thoughts and how the mind works in his particular life experience.
And what was more important than everything else: how it all started. The origin of it all.
Love,
Noemi
